If you’re a new Emoji user, you’ll find that many emoticons are self-explanatory, but you can also get their meaning when needed. Similarly, the Mail formatting button on Mail for Mac is often overlooked, but it’s a nice feature for many email senders. Although the emoticon button is prominently displayed in any email compose, reply, or forward window, awareness of this Emoji button is often overlooked, unknown, or ignored, but if you’re a frequent Emoji writer than it should be another handy trick in Emoji software. The Emoji button in Mail is a new addition to Mail for MacOS, and is probably a welcome change for serious Emoji users. You can also resize the emoji individually, if desired, by selecting Emoji directly and selecting the Format menu options (or Command + and Command – keystrokes) to increase or decrease the size of the emojis icons. If you use individual font size options for an emoticon, it also increases the size of the emoticons, so keep this in mind when formatting emails.
